**Pastelink.net** has been the go-to place for publishing lists of links since 2014: paste text and web addresses, press publish, share the page. It does that job well. Thpaste shares links too — but it was built to show readers what's behind each link before they click, and to give writers far more than plain text. Here's how the two compare, so you can choose the right tool for each list.

How we compared

Pastelink details come from its own homepage and F.A.Q. at pastelink.net, checked on 14 October 2026. "—" in the table means a feature isn't described on those pages. Services change — tell us if something here is out of date.

Where Thpaste pulls ahead

On Pastelink a link is a link — tidied into a number or icon if you like. On Thpaste, every link in a paste gets a preview card underneath: the site's name and icon, the page title, its share image, and a red Link appears broken warning when the site says the page is gone. For popular file hosts the card even shows how many files are inside and the total size.

Every link gets a card — and the dead one is flagged

Previews are fetched by Thpaste, not by your readers' browsers, so nobody's IP address is handed to a site they didn't choose to visit.

Lists that look designed

A list of links doesn't have to be a wall of addresses. Thpaste's rich text editor turns links into big tappable buttons, adds headings, colours and highlights — no code needed. Prefer structure? Markdown gives you headings, tables and a table of contents.

Secrets that self-destruct

Both sites offer passwords and expiry. Thpaste adds burn after reading: the paste is deleted the moment it's first opened — ideal for one-time passwords and codes.

Know who's clicking through

Every free Thpaste account gets analytics for every paste: views and unique visitors over 24 hours to all time, the sites that sent them, their countries and devices.

Reach readers in their own language

Pastelink's interface is available in 12 human-translated languages. Thpaste translates the paste itself: readers pick from 133 languages in a menu above the text, links stay untouched, and the original is one tap away.

No captcha, no friction

Pastelink asks you to tick "I'm not a robot" before publishing. Thpaste stops bots quietly in the background, so publishing is one click.

Fair is fair — Pastelink has some genuinely handy link tools Thpaste doesn't:

  • Link tidying — collapse every address into a number, reference or icon, with the full list underneath.
  • Strip text — paste a messy page and keep only the links.
  • Bulk management — clone, restore and process 100 pastes at a time from your account.
  • Monetization connections with several ad-link providers, available as soon as you set up an account (Thpaste's Linkvertise earnings unlock with Creator Mode at 1,000 views).
  • A long track record — online since 2014.
